Mark Rudow and Keith Berry founded r+b in 1994 to respond to the need for a design-based structural engineering firm. We support and encourage the architectural design on all of our projects, while never losing sight of the significant economic role that the structural design plays.
We realize that the selection of a structural system can only be made with an approach that strives to work with rather than battle the architecture. We also recognize that the most economical structural system is not always one that can be integrated into the architectural design, and the most aesthetically desirable design may require the use of a cost-prohibitive structural system.

Our Principals play an active role in the design process and are available continually from the initial consultation through the final construction stages. We contribute fully at the conceptual stage of a project in order to ensure that any relevant engineering considerations and options are brought to the attention of the owner and architect.
